Straight answers to three things homeowners ask us
What's this actually going to cost me?
Common gutter repairs cost between $155 and $445, depending on which part has failed and how hard it is to reach. You'll have a fixed price in writing before anyone sets foot on a ladder, and we don't change it without talking it through with you first.

Do I need a repair, or does my whole house need to be replaced?
Most of the time, what looks like a broken gutter is really just an overdue clean. We'll tell you which one yours is, even when the answer is the cheaper job. A full re-spout typically runs $3,000 to $6,500, and most homes don't need one.
Can you fix mine? I heard they stopped making it
More often than not, yes. A repair takes out the failed length and puts a new one in, so what matters is whether your profile is still made, not whether the rest of your spouting is any good. If yours genuinely is discontinued, we'll say so and go through your options, rather than quietly selling you a full re-spout.

Common signs and what they usually mean
Leaking downpipes, even after the rain has stopped.
That's water sitting in your gutter with no way to drain. The tell is a dry day: still dripping when it hasn't rained since yesterday means water lying up there with nowhere to go, and that points to a blockage rather than a broken gutter.
Often gutter cleaning gets it sorted with no repair needed. Now and then it isn't a blockage at all: the pipe is undersized for the roof area and can't shift heavy flow. That's how the place was built rather than anything you've done.
What a leaking downpipe can cost
Just a blockage: a clean clears it, and you're done. No repair.
Install higher capacity Downpipe: sizing up to the bigger 80mm downpipe is $240 to $390 depending on height. It's rarely what's behind a dry-day drip, but we'll tell you if yours is the one.

There's green slime growing where the gutters or downpipe join.
Green algae or moss around a join is the giveaway. Gutters expand and contract with every temperature swing, and that movement eventually works the seal inside loose. Water weeps through the seam and keeps the outside damp, which is all algae and moss need to take hold. It shows up well before you'd ever catch it dripping.
Good news is it's one of the easier ones to sort. We swap the failed fitting for an expansion joiner, built to let the two lengths slide as the temperature moves instead of straining the seal. The water goes back down the inside where it belongs, the dripping stops, and you've replaced one fitting instead of the whole run.
What a leaking gutter joint can cost
Joiner Replacements typically start around $155, with all materials and labour included, depending on the access & type of gutter.

It sags in the middle and pours over the side in heavy rain
Usually it's just weight. Leaves and silt build up, water can't get out, and a gutter full of wet muck is heavy enough to pull the middle off its brackets.
It's not always weight though. Years of wind and movement work the original nails loose. And if the board behind the gutter has rotted already, new screws won't hold it up.
What a sagging gutter can cost
Blocked but still straight: you just need a clean. Cleared out, draining again, no repair.
Already sagging: the gutter's bent and won't sit straight again, so new brackets are a waste. Section replacements usually cost between $225 and $625, depending on how far gone it is.
