Care and Protection
Our Commitment
-
We hold Broadform Liability insurance with AMI, with a $10 million general sum insured, subject to the policy terms, exclusions and sub-limits. Ask us any time and we will send you our current certificate of currency.
-
Where we are legally responsible for damage caused by our work, we will meet our obligations under applicable law. This may include putting the work right, repair, replacement or compensation.
-
We do not cap what we are responsible for at the price of the job.
-
Nothing in these terms limits or takes away any rights or remedies you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other law that cannot legally be excluded.
Working Together
-
Tell us before we start about anything fragile or unusual in or around the work area, such as solar panels, skylights, brittle or aged roofing, aerials, heat pumps or delicate plantings.
-
Tell us about any existing damage so we can work around it and, where practicable, record it.
-
We need safe and reasonable access to the work areas, including side gates left unlocked where required.
-
Where you can, move or cover delicate items near where we will be working.
Existing Conditions
We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or failures that our work did not cause or contribute to, including:
-
Damage that was already there when we arrived. Where practicable, we record relevant pre-existing damage or defects with photos.
-
Faults that were already present and only became visible once dirt or debris was removed.
-
Failure of gutters, roofing or paintwork already at the end of its serviceable life, where our work did not cause or contribute to that failure.
If you believe we caused damage, please tell us as soon as reasonably possible, ideally within 30 days, so we can inspect it while the evidence is fresh. This does not limit any rights or remedies you have under law.
Health and Safety
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, we're committed to ensuring everyone's wellbeing:
-
We'll conduct our work safely and follow all required safety procedures.
-
Please help us by identifying any potential hazards on your property.
-
We may need to pause or reschedule work if we identify unsafe conditions.
-
Both you and we have responsibilities to maintain a safe working environment.
Additional Information
-
Our quotes remain valid for 30 days.
-
Sometimes weather conditions may affect when we can complete your job.
-
We'll need access to power and water where possible.
-
For everyone's safety, we may need to reschedule if conditions aren't suitable.
